About

A collection of 10 songs by some of the UK’s best artists, inspired by the body’s organs. Available to hear on Spotify and to buy on iTunes now.

Body of Songs brings together major musicians and clinicians to create a remarkable collection of songs, inspired by the body’s organs.

Through incredible access to specialist clinicians and scientists – making observations in the operating theatre, the lab and meeting patients at varying stages of illness, along with seeing body parts in special museum collections – each artist has developed a knowledge and feel for their chosen organ which they have transformed into an original composition to reflect both their experiences and personal relationship to these hidden, mysterious elements, inside the body.

Each  journey to the inside begins with an introduction to the organs from Professor Hugh Montgomery, Director of the UCL Institute for Human Health and Performance at University College London.

Incredible artists and inspiring scientists and medics of all kinds come together to make up Body Of Songs.
